Take a journey into the past on this 3-hour tour of the Archeological Park of Agrigento. Explore the remains of the ancient city of Akragas, and enjoy stunning views of the sea.
Akragas, founded in 582 BC, was one of the most important Greek colonies in Sicily. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the world’s largest archeological parks in the world.
Tour the Valley of the Temples, named for its series of important Doric temples from the Hellenistic period. Start at the Temple of Hera, and continue through the early Christian Byzantine necropolis. See also the temples of Lacinia, Concordia, Heracles, Zeus, and others. In the distance, you’ll also see the ruins of the Temple of Aesculapius.
