Explore Genoa, Italy's largest seaport, on a 3-hour guided walk. Discover the city’s grandeur and its squalor, its sparkling light and deep shadows. Your guide will tell you about the development of the powerful maritime republic through the time of Christopher Columbus.
See key sites related to the life and times of Columbus, from his parent's house and the district where he lived during his adolescence, to the Renaissance Palace, which is now a museum that houses a collection of his letters. The tour will take you through the old town, where your guide will show you the most interesting sights in Genoa, and explain the history of the area in relation to Columbus. As the tour ends you’ll stop for a Genoese aperitif – a glass of local white wine with authentic focaccia bread to enjoy on a terrace overlooking the old town.
