In the foothills of the Alps, the area between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene is the toast of the Veneto. The vine-draped hillsides hereabouts produce Prosecco, a dry, crisp white wine made in spumante (bubbly), frizzante (sparkling) and still varieties.
