Live an authentic Japanese tea ceremony. The experience follows the way of Urasenkse school, which has over 400 years of history. A certified tea master of Urasenke school in Kyoto will support you in fluent English. Discover all about the tea ceremony of Japanese traditional culture.
Enjoy a tea tasting offered by a local friendly host and then learn to make tea by yourself. You can learn how to make delicious and healthy matcha once back home. Organic matcha tea made in UJI KYOTO and Japanese cookie (dried sweet) is the sweetest way to celebrate this wonderful experience, so enjoy them in a timeless atmosphere.
You will watch “the way of tea”, which is the same as over 400 years ago, performed by a professional tea master. Learn the meanings of each tea utensil or movement, which changes according to the season every month or representing the annual events in Kyoto.
