Join an experienced truffle hunter and his trained dogs to get an introduction to the magic and mystery of the world of truffles. Learn the difference between black and white truffles as you search for them in the wood. Get back to nature on a walk through the hills and enjoy these magnificent settings of the Langhe and Roero where the great Italian Piedmontese wines such as Barolo and Barbaresco are produced, we find the prized white truffle, and the world's best hazelnut: the Piedmont Hazelnut PGI.
Please note that you will need your own vehicle for the tour.
You will meet the trifulao in front of the small church of St. Michele 12050 Arguello, Province of Cuneo, where parking for the car is available. The trifulao has the keys to the little church so you can visit if you want. Hi will give you a small bag with informational materials (including the QR code with the route) and a hazelnut sweet, to be eaten during a second stop along the way to the wine tasting. You will begin the walk which will take place in the forest and orchards, during the experience you will be guided by the English speaking truffle hunter and his trained dog you will search for the prized truffle, you will also make a stop at the trifulao's stone farmhouse for a cheese tasting with black truffle scratched on top.
At the end of the hunt take your car and head towards Monforte d'alba for the wine tasting, on the way You can stop at the Chiesa di San Lorenzo (https://maps.app.goo.gl/mTpDWc6RCMxyisiH8) you can taste your hazelnut sweet, while admiring the view of the Langhe, which has been included by the UNESCO Committee on the World Heritage List as a landscape of high aesthetic value, thrilling in all its shades in every season of the year, especially in autumn, when foliage lends a magical aspect to the Langhe landscapes: every hill and every slope has its own color, and an expert eye can recognize the type of wine being grown, distinguishing the yellow leaves of Nebbiolo (later to become Barolo and Barbaresco) from the bright red ones of Dolcetto and the purplish, almost brown ones of Barbera.

During May to Septembe you may find The Summer Black Truffle and from mid September to January you will search the famous White Truffle!
