Live an authentic experience in Sicily. Discover this beautiful land, that was the setting for many movies. On this tour, you will discover the original set location of the famous Godfather film. Listen about the real structure, about its boss and how the Mafia clan wars to control the territory. You will discover how 2 Sicilian officers, Falcone and Borsellino, were very near to discovering the truth about the Mafia and its collusion with Italian politicians.
Your licensed native English-speaking guide will meet you at 10:00 AM in the lobby of your accommodation in Taormina, Giardini Naxos or Letojanni. Jump in the air-conditioned minivan and head to Forza D’Agrò, a real and authentic small Sicilian village. Take a walking tour of the old town and visit places where The Godfather movie was filmed. After a walking tour of the village with an explanation of Sicilian culture, you will be driven towards Savoca, the second Sicilian village where the movie was filmed. Visit the famous Bar Vitelli where Michael Corleone met the father of his future wife Apollonia. Then, walk 5 minutes to reach Saint Lucy Church where they got married. During the walking tour, your guide will introduce the real history of the Sicilian Mafia, and how it grew and spread very fast around Italy.
After the walking tour, you will stop in a traditional food venue. Here, you will be served a typical homemade Sicilian plate of pasta and a glass of red wine. Enjoy your meal while you marvel at the panoramic views of the town. Get ready for an exclusive experience in Sicily.
