Full description
Discover this wonderful location with an exclusive luxury tour. Start with a visit to the Neapolis in Syracuse, the famous archaeological park in the countryside of the city. This place also houses the Greek Theatre, the Ear of Dionysius and the latomie.
You will then reach the lovely peninsula of Ortigia. Starting from the ruins of the Temple of Apollo with a lovely walk, you will finally admire the Duomo Square with is beautiful white Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception, erected on the ancient Greek Temple of Athena. The walk will continue till the Fountain of Arethusa, a legendary freshwater spring with a fountain. Then, you will have 1-hour of free time for lunch (lunch will not be included in the price). Your crew will give you some tips about typical trattoria or bars where you can sample the delights of Sicilian cuisine.
After lunch, you will be driven to Noto, a jewel of Sicilian Baroque and UNESCO World Heritage site. Noto is considered an open-air museum. Here, you will visit its main street coming from the Porta Reale and pass by the Church of St. Francesco with the majestic staircase. Palazzo Ducenzio is located in Piazza Municipio. Admiring its many palaces and churches, it will not be possible to miss a visit of Cathedral Church with the Bishop’s Palace and the Church of San Salvatore.
