Follow in the footsteps of the fictional Inspector Montalbano, and visit the real towns that formed the backdrop to the TV series based on the books by Sicilian author Andrea Camilleri.
Depart Catania and travel by luxury vehicle to Donnafugata Castle, where the mob took part in a cheese tasting! Marvel at the ornately decorated rooms, including the Hall of Mirrors, and discover a 300-year-old ficus tree in the gardens. Go to a cheese factory to taste the famous ragusano cheese. Then, visit the fishing village of Punta Secca to see where Montalbano lived. Take souvenir photos of the Torre Scalambri and Punta Secca Lighthouse and get some free time at the beach.
Enjoy a packed lunch of Sicilian produce before going to Scicli to admire the Baroque buildings of Via Mormino Penna and taste an authentic dessert from Sicily. Continue to Modica to see the UNESCO World Heritage monuments, such as the Palazzo Polara. Try the town's famous chocolate, made just as the Aztecs used to!
