Explore a family owned winery in Zagarolo, a small town in the southeast of Rome countryside. Since 1945, their grandfather has produced a sparkling Roman wine called Romanella. In 1986, the family started to produce sparkling wine using the same method of Champagne, an exclusive and prestigious product of Lazio.
Learn how this family has been making wine for generations. Your host dedicates her life to spread the family wine tradition. She grew up in nature and wine and food have become a real passion.
Start your tour with a beautiful walk in the vineyard, listening to the family history of the winery. Then you'll visit the tuff cellar, dug in 1881 and located 20 meters underground. Afterward, taste two of the wines made here, learning about the evaluation of wine by sight, smell, and taste. Enjoy the wine with bread and our organic oil, local cheese, and cured meats.
